Coping Instructions
The F131 and F232 copings do not have a bottom in them.? We only sell the wall of the copings.? You, the customer, must hire a contractor to pour the pad for the coping to sit on as well as seal the coping to the pad after the coping has been delivered or picked up.? This is done in 2 steps.
After your contractor has poured the pad according to the specifications outlined below, you must call us to set up a delivery day for the coping.? Our team will deliver the coping and set them on the pad.? You must then have the contractor return to seal the coping to the pad as well as to each other.? The copings come in 8 pieces.? Once you are sure the seal is dry, and no water leaks you will then call us to set up a delivery date for the fountain.? Our team will deliver and set the fountain up.
Instructions for Pouring the Pad
A pad for the coping needs to be poured by your contractor. It needs to be 10-foot diameter and approximately 10? thick.? When the 10-foot round pad is poured, they need to place a 2? cold water pipe with a sweeping elbow in the center and have it come out the side with a string in it to pull the cord through for the electrical cord. Also, they need to leave the pipe stubbed up about 18? and our guys will cut it off when they set up the fountain.? We recommend Type S mortar for the coping. Put mortar under the coping and the sides of the coping.? To seal the coping to make it waterproof, we recommend the DryLok Concrete & Masonry Waterproofer sealant.
